Keystone join Argent Consulting panel
22/06/2010
The Keystone Regular Commitments Protection Plan is an entirely new proposition in a sector of the market that has seen little change in over a decade.
What is Keystone?
Keystone is an insurance designed to protect your ability to pay regular commitments from some of the more unpleasant aspects of life. If you could not work due to illness or had an accident, if you were sacked or made redundant, Keystone is there to pay your monthly bills for up to 18 months.
Keystone is fully flexible and can be varied at any time to suit your changing circumstances. A wide range of product options is available, providing broad cover at highly competitive premiums and enabling you to cover all of your major monthly outgoings, from mortgage or rental payments to your gym membership or Sky TV.
How does this differ from Income Protection?
- Rather than protecting a percentage of income, Keystone protects a flexible total of outgoings.
- At the point of claim you would evidence the nature of your inability to work and provide evidence of the commitments covered.
What are the Key Benefits?
Keystone enables you to protect up to £3,000 per month or 90% of your normal net income after tax, provided that the total amount of cover is a sum of your specified regular monthly commitments.
Commitments that can be covered include: mortgage and other loan repayments, home rental, insurance premiums, utility bills, telephone bills, TV licence, Sky/Cable TV, gym membership, pension plans and many other categories of regular financial commitments.
You can choose from the following options:
- Accident, Sickness & Unemployment (ASU)
- Accident & Sickness(AS)
- Unemployment (U)
- Benefit period of 12 or 18 months duration to fit in with their existing PHI or occupational schemes;
- A choice of excess options from back to day 1 cover (no excess), to 30 or 60 days excesses.
Payable by monthly direct debit with the first months premium free and can be varied at any time to suit your changing circumstances.
